Type B FIBC
Type B FIBC
Type B FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) are made from insulating, non-conductive fabric with a low breakdown voltage (less than 6 kV). This design prevents the occurrence of propagating brush discharges (PBDs), which can ignite combustible dust-air mixtures, flammable gases, or solvent vapors.
Although sometimes referred to as antistatic bags, Type B FIBCs do not actively dissipate static electricity. They offer only limited protection against static-related hazards and should be used with care in appropriate environments.

Reliability
Our customers can count on our contractors to do it right.
Commitment
We are committed to you, our customers, at all times.
Applications and Suitability:
Type B bags are suitable for handling dry, flammable powders and combustible dusts with a Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE) greater than 3 mJ, but must not be used in the presence of flammable gases or vapors.
Type A vs. Type B FIBC – Key Differences:
Both Type A and Type B bags:
Are constructed from plain-woven polypropylene or other non-conductive materials.
Do not have any built-in mechanism to discharge static electricity.
However, Type B FIBCs offer enhanced safety through:
Use of materials with low breakdown voltage (< 4 kV) to prevent dangerous discharges.
Prevention of energetic propagating brush discharges (unlike Type A).
Compatibility with minor combustible dusts, given that MIE is above 3 mJ and no flammable gases are present.
Cautions When Using Type B FIBCs:
Do not use to transport flammable liquids or gases.
Avoid using in areas where flammable vapors or solvent gases may accumulate.
Not recommended for dusts with ignition energies below 3 mJ.
Summary:
Type B FIBCs offer a safer alternative to Type A bags for handling certain flammable powders. However, they are not antistatic bags and must be used within strict safety limitations to prevent electrostatic hazards.

Woven bags are manufactured with the help of Woven Fabric. These kinds of bags are widely used in the packaging industry as they are the best fit for the customer needs. Woven bags in the packaging world are mainly made up of polypropylene. These bags are used in various industries like Food, Fertilizer, Seeds, Cement, Chemicals etc.
The word Fabric is not just another word but rather a fascinating story woven into our lives. It is widely believed that the earliest form of fabric came from animal skins used for both bedding and clothing. For a very long time, before the introduction of synthetic fibres, there were few other dominating fibres in the industry: cotton, wool, silk etc. Later, synthetic fabric quickly took over the market for its various properties and needless to mention, woven fabrics today have a special place in the industry.
